Apple is planning on holding the company’s fall event on Tuesday, October 4th and that the Apple CEO Tim Cook will be launching the next generation iPhone 5 and new media players like iPod touches and iPod in a keynote, report AllThingsD, a Wall Street Journal blog network. Though Apple fanboys and media have been anxiously awaiting the next iPhone, there are no clues as to whether the company will also announce special event on October 4 – ‘officially’.
The event is undoubtedly going to be a big deal with major product announcements and it’s been widely assumed Apple would start selling an updated version of iPhone, iCloud and iOS 5. I’d say we’ll definitely see update iPod’s as well, as the fall event is generally when the company shows off its new iPod lineup No definitive word on what those product are, but I think we all have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
Tuesday, October 4. That’s the day Apple is currently expected to hold its next big media event, according to sources close to the situation, where the tech giant will unveil the next iteration of its popular iPhone.

The gathering is likely to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, a space Apple often uses for media events like this. Steve Jobs might make a cameo appearance, the report added.
