If you love iPhone 4 hardware but wish for an iPhone 4S’ Siri feature, consider what an enthusiastic developer has done. Steve Troughton-Smith has managed to hack and shoe-horn a ‘very alpha’ version of the Siri voice command system into the iPhone 4, giving one more viable reason to jailbreak the device. Follow the break for video evidence of a Siri’d iPhone 4.
The device with this hacked Siri port, however, isn’t fully functional, with the touch screen not yet working as smooth as in stock iPhone 4S, among other major issues.

It is still unclear whether the sluggishness or the loss of graphics acceleration is because of a special GPU driver required in iPhone 4 which is not included in the iPhone 4S binary cache.
According to developer, Siri doesn’t use the GPU and it should work just as fast on the iPhone 4 as 4S. Siri does virtually no processing on the device, but streams to the cloud. The next step is to get the entire Siri framework from 4S, added Steve.
Jailbreaking iPhone 4 is naturally required for the Siri Assistant to work, and there will undoubtedly be some hurdles to overcome to make this totally usable. When asked if it is possible to port Siri voice system on iPad 2, the developer said - “yeah for the most part it should be possible.” Via [9to5Mac]
